SEAS adamantly requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to reduce employees' exposures to hazards to acceptable levels. Since its inception in 1978, SEAS has initiated and maintained a Personal Protective Equipment program that includes identification and evaluation of hazards in the workplace, selection, evaluation and maintainance of protective equipment, and training of personnel in its applicability and use. The following is a brief list of some of the more commonly used protective equipment available to SEAS personnel. SEAS employs many more safety equipment items than is practical to list here. |
